A Leg Up K9

Just like most of you reading this post, I scoured the interwebs for weeks trying to find a good trainer for our family rescue dog. Our dog was a good dog, but, he needed to learn some manners. He was just full of puppy energy and was starting to destroy personal items such as shoes and clothes. After reading up on Alegupk9, we took our American Bulldog / Pit mix to Jake for the three week board and train. Jake stayed in contact with us the entire time our Ramsey was with him and his approach to teach not just the dog, but, the humans as well was more than what other trainers offer in the area. We are three weeks after training and I can say I am happy with the results! I have gotten compliments from strangers about how well behaved he is when we have been in crowded and loud environments. Our dog no longer has destructive behaviors. And we communicate better. Does Ramsey listen all the time? No. Do we communicate effectively all the time? Probably not. But, that is the great part of it! Ramsey is still learning and we are still learning. The price of the training isn’t just paying for a set amount of time / lessons... It pays for the end result of a happy and healthy relationship between owner and dog with clear and effective communication! My family is very grateful for Jake and his training program. He did a very good job with our Ramsey.
