A+ Dog Training

You have stated that you are not a dog training expert and you respect any business that has years of experience but you criticize some methods that are required for some dogs to understand. Obviously you did not comprehend my explanation of the various methods available to help dogs understand what is requested of them. I clearly state "there is no one way to train every dog" and the variety of methods that are available can be effective under many conditions. But when those "scientific methods" ( which have been debunked by many) are ineffective, what can be done? When the puppy is not responding to "gradual leash pressure" what are you going to do when they pull so hard that they either hurt themselves or yank the leash out of your hand and are out of control (hit by a car or in a fight with another dog)? I did not stress being the "alpha", I stressed being the LEADER. I specifically addressed not to SHOUT or to be LOUD at your dog but to use a firm SOUNDING voice when bad behavior was not being reduced by other methods. I also STRESSED the imperative need for positive reinforcement (voice/physical affection/food) of the correct behavior. (Obviously this was a difficult process for you to understand) I explained the stronger methods because the opportunity arose when the one puppy was exhibiting very aggressive, dangerous, biting behavior and the owners were desperate for a solution to the aggressive biting. I also stated that the method of "flicking in the nose" or "pinching the lip" was specifically needed for that dog. And, BTW, the owners were extremely pleased with the results because they had already tried the "scientific methods", the "positive reinforcement" methods with no improvement whatsoever and the puppy was becoming more and more dangerous and owners were on the verge of giving up. If you would have attended more than the 1 or 2 classes you would have understood the different methods that are taught and can be used to obtain desired results and learned the different steps/methods to obtain results from different personalities of dogs. (Just like children learn differently.) I also stressed the need to "show" your puppy what sit means by GUIDING with the collar and GUIDING their butt while saying sit. I also show in our Puppy Kindergarten session how to use treats and positive reinforcement to obtain sit, down, and stand, and WHY those positions are important, but you have not attended that class so you wouldn't know the overall education/methods given. I also welcome anyone that wants to use a different method like luring their dog with treats while walking or gradual leash pressure (I have had many in class both successful and unsuccessful with this method) but no conversation developed between us regarding a different method even though I stress there are no stupid questions and to ask me anything. So obviously you chose to write a biased review after attending 1 or 2 classes giving no opportunity to have a discussion with me on your concerns or your misunderstanding.
