A Dog Gone Good LLC

I just recently got a Morkie puppy (Gracie) that has been out of control and I realized I needed help. I found A Dog Gone Good dog training business and scheduled a private session. Martha Winters came to my house and worked with us for 2 hours. I was utterly amazed what Martha did. She was hands-on, professional, instructive and by the end of the session, Gracie was a different dog. She was so prepared that she provided handouts for each of the problems I told her I needed help with. What a great experience and I would recommend "A Dog Gone Good" to anyone who needs a little (or a lot) of help with their pooch!!

This is the first dog I've ever had. I called to find out what the general pricing and scenario of dog training was and she spent the whole time on the phone fussing at me with a neurotic tone like she was a disgruntled wife. Ultimately to tell me that she charges 85 dollars an hour to teach me how to train my dog. Very irritating to be talked to and treated like that when you're trying to buy a service.

Martha is really a lovely lady! After emailing her to inquire, it was obvious that she read my concerns and really thought about the training before the session. From the moment she walked into my house, I could tell that she knew what she was doing and had both my dog and I's best interests in mind. Martha is all about positive training and reinforcement, which made both my dog and I comfortable. My dog (a big German Shepherd) was laying in her lap on the couch by the end of the session - so he obviously loved the training and her! Her training is affordable - even for a graduate student, and it was worth every penny. In the past I had some bad experiences with other dog training institutions in Tallahassee where I was asked to use methods of dog training which made me and my dog uncomfortable, resulting in lost confidence in my dog and I's bond. Martha was able to listen to me, and offer me ways to retrain behaviors in a POSITIVE fashion, instead of just trying to use brute force correction. I can now say that I have the tools (and Martha provides you with tons of resources before, during, and after your session) to continue to move forward with my dog's training. In just two short hours, Martha was able to build both my and my dog's confidence back up and get us on track for success. I would recommend her for anyone who is looking for a trainer who will actually listen to you and provide you with methods that will work.
