I can’t recommend my dog walker, Mark, enough. Beyond just being incredibly reliable, he genuinely cares about helping both you and your dog succeed. Every walk turns into a learning opportunity—he takes the time to explain what he’s doing, why it works, and how I can be a better handler myself. What’s been most impressive is how he’s helped me understand the subtle, unspoken communication that exists between humans and dogs. Because of him, I’m not just handing my dog off for exercise—I’m becoming a better dog owner. If you want someone who treats your dog with real attention and also empowers you with knowledge, he’s the one.

The most important thing with leaving someone with your dog is whether you can trust them. Mark is someone who genuinely cares for and loves animals and treats them as his own. He’s trustworthy and a dog person - and it makes the biggest difference when it comes to peace of mind and the best care for your animal. Have left my dog Remy with him for ~3 weeks and she loves him and her time there. Highly recommend.

Mark has cared for my pup “Blake” for over a year starting when Blake was about 4 months old - he’s now 1-1/2 years old. I like that Mark takes time to explain both dog and human behavior. I’ve had to learn to treat Blake like a dog - not a human - and provide clear instructions to reinforce good dog behavior. Blake is very loving and playful. He interacts well with other dogs. When out for a walk I have had to learn to gauge which dogs Blake can approach - mostly based on the actions of the other human. Mark walks Blake in a pack (3, 4, 6, sometimes 8 dogs!), and this has helped tremendously with Blake’s socialization. Mark provides dog sitting from a day to overnight to weeks at a time. I’m so grateful to have found A Big Dog House. Mark has helped make my life with a dog a great experience!

I had to travel last minute and Mark was ready immediately. Being the first dog sit, the schedule changed frequently and he was right there. So amazingly accommodating. Mark went above and beyond dog sitting services as he is so trustworthy. He even gave my dog a full day of pack dog fun! Mark is amazing and so reliable! I cannot wait to travel again so my dog gets great care! Mark also offered advice and provided video updates while I was away! I cannot say enough great things about his services!
