A Bark Above

I highly recommend A Bark Above! My 3-year-old pup just completed a board and train program with Raquel, and he has learned so much in such a short time. She was generous with her time, explaining the process thoroughly and asking me about his history. As you can imagine, it takes a lot to be comfortable leaving your pup with a stranger for multiple weeks of training. I contacted several programs, and I was surprised that all of the ones that I contacted use e-collars (shock collars). I know some people are fine with them, but I am not comfortable with the idea and I was specifically seeking someone who would use positive reinforcement training. A friend recommended Raquel, and I'm so glad that she did. In speaking with her, it was obvious that she is very knowledgeable and would treat my little guy well. I really appreciate that she limits the amount of dogs that she trains so that she can provide individual attention and she was great about updating me regularly--letting me know how he was progressing, and sending me pictures and videos. I missed him while he was away, but knowing that he was in good hands and receiving training that would benefit both of us put my mind at ease.

I found out about this company at an event and was immediately hooked. I have a super high energy dog who loves to run! This service is incredibly convenient and so great for people who don't have the time in their busy schedule to exercise their dog. I love how encouraging the trainer is to my dog as he is running and that she has truly built a relationship with my pup and I. I would highly recommend all the services A Bark Above offers!
