5 Star Dog Training

I was looking for a trainer that was experienced with pitbulls and with dogs with special circumstances. I adopted Diesel from a city shelter where he grew up in. He was found as a pup in a dumpster and spent his entire life, up until I adopted him, growing up in the shelter, and he is about 4 years old. I did my research and read reviews and decided to give 5 Star a call. BEST CALL I EVER MADE. Chase came out for the initial meet and greet and evaluation session. From the beginning he was very polite and caring and listened to Diesel's story. I even gave him the behavior assessment to read the shelter had given me from a person they brought in to evaluate Diesel because he had been there so long. Chase did not judge Diesel by the words listed on the papers but instead he based his findings on the big, muscular sweetheart standing in front of him. He was patient and kind with Diesel and understood that Diesel had special circumstances and insecurities and worked with these. He showed me and taught me how to best help Diesel. He even gave me some tips and suggestions on activities I could do with Diesel to help him work through his struggles. We are now in group class and Diesel is around other dogs of all different sizes and temperaments and is walking and sitting by them. This is a huge achievement for a dog that was labeled as one that should be an only dog and not socialized with other dogs. You can see in the pictures that he is a group of other dogs and doesn't even react...and he was labeled dog aggressive. Diesel still has his struggles but Chase is there to help us through them and shows me how to calmly help Diesel through the hard stuff. Thanks to Chase, Diesel and I are not confined to our home but we are out and about in public in social situations. I thank God every day that I made that call, it was the best thing I could ever have done for Diesel. I do not have enough words to say how thankful I am that Chase helped me give Diesel a better life. I still keep in contact with the staff at the shelter and give them updates on Diesel's progress and they are all so happy for him and amazed at the progress he has made. The ultimate compliment came this past weekend when I was having some work done in my house and the service man said that he has never seen such a well behaved dog before. He said usually there is constant barking and owners trying to keep the dog away from him or enclosing the dog away. Diesel placed on his cot, never barked or rushed the door no matter how many time the guy went in and out, and never moved to follow him. He stayed quietly on his cot and ignored all the activity, which for him was a huge milestone. I thanked him and told him that Diesel was in training and that this was all possible because of the wonderful training from Chase. If you are looking for a trainer that does more than just train your dog, but that will teach you how to best work with your dog, than look no further because Chase is your man. He will work with you with patience and support and understanding and help you build a relationship with your dog and teach you the skills to best teach your dog and do it all with love and kindness.
