We recently got our 6 year old German Shepard mix back from Anyssa’s 6 week board and train program and we are extremely happy with her results. We went to Anyssa for leash reactivity and integrating a cat into the home. Walks in the neighborhood were stressful since we would just anticipate seeing another dog and Nala getting upset. Anyssa taught Nala and us how to disengage when she sees other dogs and even how to play with other dogs. Anyssa was completely transparent from the first meeting and gave us several options, but stressed that the board and train would be our best option for her level of reactivity. She answered allllll of our questions and made us feel comfortable giving her our baby for 6 weeks. When we dropped Nala off, we got a tour of her house and saw where Nala would be for the program which eased our minds. I love that Anyssa only has a handful of dogs at a time so she can give the dogs very personalized training lessons and spend dedicated time with each of them. We also loved how often she posts on Instagram stories with daily updates of the dogs and she’d text us regular updates as well. This definitely helped to prepare us for when Nala came home since we were watching what she was learning and how her results “should look”. The 6 week board and train program was certainly an investment and a commitment that you have to stick to but completely worth it in our opinion since we have a cool, calm, and collected dog who can live in harmony with our cat. <3

We are so beyond lucky to have found Anyssa at 4Paws Canine Training! She has been phenomenal with our two Aussiedoodles. Our 1-year-old girl is a ball of energy…too smart for her own good and always ready to play while our 5-year-old values her alone time and has every quirky trait you can imagine (she even runs away when we cough, haha!). They couldn’t be more opposite, yet Anyssa knew exactly how to bring out the best in both of them. What makes her stand out is that training isn’t just in one place. She takes the pups on real-life adventures and even uses her own pups to teach ours how to socialize and interact properly. This was huge for us! She also makes sure we’re learning alongside them, giving us tools, tips, and confidence to keep the progress going. She checks in, shares advice, and offers boarding, which gives us so much peace of mind. We are extremely protective pet parents (we fully admit we baby our dogs!), but we trust Anyssa with them completely. Every dollar we’ve spent has been more than worth it. She is truly the best in the business and we couldn’t recommend her more highly!

I worked with several other trainers before finding Anyssa. They all prioritized control in one way or another, either through “dominance” and scaring the dog or expecting the owner to greatly change their lifestyle to reach their training goals. Anyssa is different: She prioritizes relationship. She is non-judgmental and she teaches you how to build a positive relationship with your dog.
