I can’t say enough great things about 203K9. I have a blue nose bully mix, and when we first started training, walks were honestly stressful. He was very reactive whenever we passed other dogs and was constantly pulling and tugging on the leash. I felt like I had no control. After working with their team, the difference is night and day. They were patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to teach me how to properly handle and correct him. Now, I can confidently walk around the block, even in our neighborhood where there are so many other dogs out, and I’m able to manage him calmly and effectively. This training didn’t just help my dog, it helped me become a better handler. I’m so grateful for their guidance and highly recommend them to anyone struggling with leash reactivity or behavior issues.

Night and Day difference in my dog when I dropped him off to Steve’s bootcamp. His tantrums are faint but he understands we’re not listening. The 1 on 1 hands on lessons both in faculty and in public stores, was crucial and showed us how to navigate high stress areas and communication with our fur child to keep him at ease. I can’t say this enough thank you Steve for giving my dog a fighting chance In this world.

We just finished an evaluation with Steve would honestly recommend anyone who’s looking for a reputable, knowledgeable, skilled training facility to do the same. Steve spent a generous amount of time with us and our 2 year old Rottweiler. We’ve done training in the past but are struggling to get over stranger danger, prey drive, and a few other reactivity issues. We entered the facility with our dog muzzled and left with Steve handing the leash back to us after both he and another trainer had successfully led our dog through a series of drills. It wasn’t an easy hand off but Steve took his time and showed authority. We are considering what program is best and I will update this review post training but wanted to share this experience since it exceeded our expectations.

I used 203K9 to train my 9-month-old Labradoodle/German Shepherd, Juju. Before training, walks were a struggle. He pulled constantly, had little focus, and was easily distracted in public. It was tough to get any consistent obedience outside the house. After the 4-week board and train program, the difference was immediate. Juju came back more focused, responsive, and controlled. What stood out most was the balance. He can switch into “work mode” when needed, but the moment he’s on break, he’s right back to being a happy, playful puppy. During the program, I trained with him once a week at the facility. That made a big difference. I wasn’t just handed a trained dog. I learned how to handle him properly and maintain the structure at home and in public. Now I can take Juju anywhere with confidence. He walks calmly on leash, doesn’t jump on people, and listens even with distractions around. That wasn’t the case before. I’m extremely grateful to Stephen, Kevin, Marc, and the entire 203K9 team. I went into this worried I wouldn’t have the time or patience to train him properly and that he’d end up being a dog I couldn’t comfortably bring around people. That completely changed. If you’re on the fence, it’s worth it. The training works, and more importantly, they teach you how to keep it working.
